Alloy 317LMN is non-magnetic in the annealed condition. It cannot be hardened by heat treatment, only by cold working. The alloy can be easily welded and processed by standard shop fabrication practices. The nitrogen content of Alloy 317LMN acts as a strengthening agent giving it a higher yield strength than 317L . Alloy 317LMN is also a low carbon grade which enables it to be used in the as-welded condition free from chromium carbide precipitation on the grain boundaries.

First, the thicker the wall thickness of the product, the more economical and practical it is. The thinner the wall thickness, the processing cost will increase significantly. Secondly, the process of the product determines its limited performance. Secara amnya, Seamless steel pipes have low precision: uneven wall ketebalan, low brightness on the inside and outside of the pipe, high cost of sizing, and pitting and black spots on the inside and outside that are difficult to remove; thirdly, its detection and shaping must be processed offline. Therefore, it reflects its superiority in terms of high pressure, high strength, and mechanical structural materials.

Industrial Seamless Steel Pipe

Alloy 317LMN (UNS S31726) is an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum stainless steel with corrosion resistance superior to 316L and 317L. The higher molibdenum content, combined with an addition of nitrogen, provides the alloy with its enhanced corrosion resistance, especially in acidic chloride containing service. The combination of molibdenum and nitrogen also improves the alloys resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.

1.4460 is possible to weld and do not need to be welded with welding consumables similar to that of the parent one. The steel shall be welded as austenitic material with as low heat input as possible. It can be both cold- and hot formed. The steel is easier to machine and it has significantly better machinability, but slightly worse corrosion resistance than 1.4462.
